FT

COMPRESSED AIR FILTERS

Flow rate: 51 ÷ 2520 m3/h

The FT range of filters guarantees the filtration of compressed air pollutants or other gases, such as oil, water vapour and solid particles, originating from corrosion of mechanical parts or present in the atmosphere, avoiding possible problems for pneumatic equipment and installation damage. Robust and durable, with the anti-corrosion and powder coating treatments, FT filters are equipped with a depressurisation safety device for easy removal of the cartridges. Five filtration types are available, or the cyclone separation version. They are clearly identified by the colour of the plastic end caps or shape. The filter cartridges are composed of two cylindrical stainless-steel meshes, with an internal pleated borosilicate filter. The outer non-woven fabric coating can handle compressed air contaminated with mineral or synthetic oil particles. The push-fit cartridge connection with double O-ring ensures quality filtration and easy removal for normal service operations.

Main Components

  • Filter body in anodized aluminum, easy bowl removal
  • Filter element with inner and outer supports in stainless steel, double polyester needle felt sock
  • Condensate drain: standard ATD03, SCG20 or MDR04 according to the model.

Vessel design conditions:

  • Pressure: 16 barg
  • Temperature: + 120°C

Recommended working temperature

  • 1,5 ÷ 65°C with cartridge P (3 micron); S (1 micron); M (0,1 micron); X (0.01 micron)
  • <1,5 ÷ 45°C with cartridge Z (carbon attivo)

Data refer to the following nominal condition: inlet air pressure 7 barg; inlet air temperature +35 °C.
[*] Filtration grade: P (5 micron); S (1 micron); X (0.01 micron); Z (Activated carbon).

Filtration gradeAir QualityApplication example

P

3 MICRON

Filter capable to separate emulsion and particles down to 3 micron.Normal installed on the inlet of dryers. Ideal as pre-filter for on-line filters (series S-X-Z), and for vacuum pumps, pneumatic blowing plants.

S

1 MICRON

Filter capable to separate particles down to 1 micron, liquid and oil included. Maximum contents of residual oil 0,1 mg/m3.Normally used on outlet of dryers as (X) grade pre-filter. Used to prevent the deterioration of the pipes of compressed air plants, for surface treatment, on vacuum pumps exhaust, on compressed air motors, and as post-filter for adsorption dryers.

X

0,01 MICRON

Oil removing filter capable to separate residual oil and extremely small particles down to 0,01 mg/m3. It produces air technical free from oil.Used for the protection of control system, pneumatics haulage, painting system and as pre-filter for adsorption dryers.

Z

Carbone Attivo

Activated carbon filter for the elimination of oil vapours and odour. When installed after a (X) grade filter, it lowers the maximum contents of residual oil to 0,003 mg/m3.Used in the pharmaceutical industry, for dental applications, in photographic workshop, packaging and galvanic treatments.
