REFRIGERATION DRYERS WITH LOW GWP R513A REFRIGERANT

Expanding on their innovative line of compressed air solutions, Friulair introduces the FMD Series, setting a new standard in refrigeration drying technology. Engineered for maximum efficiency and eco-friendliness, these models use R513A refrigerant to minimize global warming potential. They offer excellent dew point control, ensuring reliable operation across varied conditions. With a design a design focused on sustainability and easy maintenance, the FMD series highlights Friulair's commitment to reducing energy consumption while maintaining high levels of performance, even in the face of complex environmental challenges.

The new FMD series of refrigeration dryers replaces the “Original” AMD and has been redesigned considering:

  • The use of R513A refrigerant gas with very low environmental impact (GWP = 631CO2 ton/eq);
  • An improved dew point at 3°C;
  • New compactness ALU-DRY heat exchangers;
  • New component layout;
  • new frame design for greater strength.

Symbolised by a four-leaf clover, FMDs have four indispensable features for compressed air treatment.

  • Consistent and guaranteed performance over a wide range of temperature use.
  • Cost-effectiveness due to their compatibility with the compressor sizes on the market.
  • Functionality with user-friendly electronic controllers (INDUSTRY 4.0 ready) for managing condensate drainage and condensation, stainless steel hot gas by-pass valve and ALU-DRY heat exchanger on the entire range.
  • Ecology: the materials used are highly recyclable and R513A refrigerant gas comply with current regulations.

MAXIMUM WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ambient temperature: + 45°C
  • Air inlet pressure: 16 barg
  • Inlet air temperature: + 55°C

Data refer to the following nominal conditions: ambient temperature +25°C; air inlet pressure 7 barg; air inlet temperature +35°C; and a pressure dew point of 3°C.
