PCD refrigeration dryers (Process Chiller-Dryer), called “Point of UseDryerare used in situations where a compressed air temperature equal to the Dew-Point value is required (Dew -Pointsuch as the moulding sector of plastics and foodstuffs, and sectors where it is not possible to use water for cooling.

In addition to the electronic controller (Industry 4.0 ready), the range features a single air-to-cooler (or evaporator) heat exchange circuit. The incoming warm and humid air exchanges heat with the refrigerant fluid counter-current flow, undergoing an abrupt temperature drop. Before leaving the dryer, the cold air is conveyed into the stainless-steel demister separator where the condensate is collected and discharged from the system. The treated air exits at a temperature close to thedew point.

MAXIMUM WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ambient temperature: + 50°C
  • Inlet air pressure: 15 barg
  • Inlet air temperature: + 55°C

Data refer to the following nominal condition: ambient temperature + 25 °C; inlet air pressure 7 barg; inlet air temperature +35 °C; outlet air temperature +5 °C.

  • Copper coaxial heat exchanger (PCD 2C÷6C)
  • Stainless steel plate heat exchanger (PCD 10÷250)
  • High-efficiency compressor
  • Generously sized condenser unit
  • Valvola pressostatica per acqua (raffredd. ad acqua) (PCD 25÷250)
  • Controller digitale DMC35 (PCD2÷6), DMC34 (PCD10÷60), DMC24 (PCD80÷120) RS485 modbus
  • Refrigerant compressor thermal or thermo-ammeter protection
  • Automatic condensation pressure control
  • High compressor temperature protection (PCD 25÷120)
  • Refrigerant compressor phase sequence relay protection (3ph models)
  • Refrigerant high-pressure and low-pressure safety pressure switches (PCD 60÷120)
  • Hot gas bypass valve
  • Timed condensation drain
  • Compressor crankcase heater (3ph models only)
